The Privé Team—consisting of Timothy Burch, Kim Kakerbeck, and David Tenenbaum—has built its reputation on deep market knowledge, collaborative service, and a shared passion for the Hamptons lifestyle. As hosts of Home 2.0 on the MoRE Network, they bring those same qualities to listeners each week, offering thoughtful conversations about luxury real estate, second-home ownership, and the trends shaping one of the country’s most sought-after markets. We caught up with the team to talk about the Hamptons market, the inspiration behind their podcast, their favorite local spots, and a few things you may not know about them.
What do you love most about partnering in your business with BHS?
Tim: BHS gives our team access to the latest marketing trends, cutting-edge technology, and individualized support that larger “big box” brokerages can’t always provide to every agent or team. Rather than simply being the company we work for, BHS truly feels like an extension of our team—we share the same goal of delivering unparalleled service to every client.
Kim: I love the collaboration and the ability to bounce ideas off one another. Having my teammates alongside me during a listing presentation also makes for a much stronger pitch.
David: I love the smaller size of our firm, the atmosphere that exists out in the Hamptons, and the amazing support staff and local marketing department that help me nurture my business. I know the other firms don’t have what BHS has, and I am truly appreciative of that.
Why did you start your Home 2.0 podcast, and for those who aren’t tuning in, why should they listen/watch?
Team Answer: We felt it was important to create a podcast focused on second-home ownership and the luxury real estate market, especially in the Hamptons. Buying, selling, or renting a second home is a different experience than purchasing a primary residence, with its own unique goals, challenges, and considerations. Through decades of combined experience, we share insights that apply not only to the Hamptons but to second-home markets everywhere, helping listeners make more informed real estate decisions.
How is the Hamptons market performing right now, and what do you expect for the second half of the year?
Team Answer: The key word in today’s market is inventory. Available listings remain limited while buyer demand continues to be strong, meaning sellers are still in the driver’s seat in most situations.
Favorite dining spot in the Hamptons? What are you ordering?
Tim: My husband and I love sitting at the bar, and you really can’t go wrong with the burger. Lucky’s in East Hampton and The Sag Harbor Tavern never disappoint.
Kim: The American Hotel in Sag Harbor. I love both the ambiance and the Cod Fiorentina.
David: Lobster salad at Duryea’s. Always!!!!
Your favorite Hamptons beach and why?
Tim: For long walks with our dog, I love the bay beaches—Gerard Drive and Barnes Hole are perfect because you can walk for miles. When it’s time to relax and soak up the sun, Two Mile Hollow Beach is my favorite.
Kim: Peter’s Pond in Sagaponack. It’s quiet, peaceful, and there’s almost never anyone there.
David: Wiborg Beach in East Hampton. I love how quiet this beach is. I also love “The Cut” in Water Mill, as it has bay views on one side and ocean views on the other.
Share with us a photo in your camera roll that means a lot to you and why.
Tim:
My dog, Baci, and I enjoying the autumn scenery.
Kim:
My wedding to Debbie Flickinger on May 3rd 2026 at the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs – happiest day of my life.
David:
Love this shot. This stunning bluebird day atop Telluride overlooks the San Juan Mountains. The view is breathtaking, the air is crisp, and I can see for miles and miles from the longest trail on Telluride Mountain. High mountain views always leave me awestruck.
Share something that few people know about you.
Tim: Although I have a degree in accounting, I’ve never actually worked as an accountant. Before real estate, I was both a pharmaceutical sales representative and an international flight attendant for TWA.
Kim: I absolutely love coleslaw—although, to be fair, a lot of people already know that!
David: I’m a true music lover and spend a lot of my free time going to hear live music. For me, music is life.
