Own a Piece of Sinatra History: The Hoboken Brownstone Frank Sinatra Bought for His Parents

By Ashley Brennan

A rare piece of New Jersey history has arrived on the market: the Hoboken brownstone that legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra purchased for his parents, Marty and Dolly Sinatra, in the 1940s.

Now reimagined as a luxury condominium residence, the home blends timeless architectural character with modern design—offering buyers the opportunity to live in a property connected to one of America’s most iconic performers.

Located at 909 Hudson Street in Hoboken, the late 19th-century brownstone was once home to the Sinatra family and reflects the neighborhood’s rich architectural heritage. The building has since undergone a thoughtful transformation, preserving original details while creating a sophisticated contemporary residence.

The newly listed duplex spans approximately 3,190 square feet and features historic details including 12-foot ceilings, crown molding, and original paneling, alongside a modern kitchen, multiple en-suite bedrooms, a private backyard, and flexible living space. The renovation focused on honoring the character of the home rather than erasing its past.

“It’s refreshing to see a developer who doesn’t overlook the home’s history as an obstacle but more of an asset,” said Brown Harris Stevens agent Wes L. Page, who is marketing the property with colleague Peter Cossio.

Beyond its architectural appeal, the home offers a direct connection to Sinatra’s New Jersey roots. The singer, who grew up in Hoboken, remained closely tied to his hometown throughout his life, and the residence offers a unique opportunity to become part of that enduring local legacy.
